Hey people,
I inhale banana bread. I then made this recipe, so now I inhale this big bowl of oatmeal. It really works out great. This is another one of my go-tos (is that a word? nope), and one that I don't see myself getting sick of anytime soon. Because it's that good. It's warm and cozy and YUUUUUM. It's not hard to do, and feel free to add more/less banana, cinnamon, and molasses!
Recipe:
1/2 cup oats
1 cup liquid (I use half almond milk, half water)
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 mashed banana (the more you use, the creamier it'll be!)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp molasses (not completely necessary but adds a nice touch)
What to do:
Bring the cup of liquid to a boil, reduce heat to medium and add your oats and mashed banana. After a few minutes, add your spices, mix and remove once you've reached your desired consistency. Top with more bananas, nuts (I recommend walnuts), dried fruit, or a nut butter of your choice!
